Set of 8 Titanium Retainers made of best grade titanium (grade 5)
These are a direct replacement for the original aluminium retainers for the:
Suzuki TL 1000 R (all years)
Suzuki TL 1000 S (all years)
 
The original aluminium retainers are too weak for the stronger valve springs that are often installed in modified engines.
The possible results are ovaling of the shim recess, making it easier to 'spit a shim' and also letting the kepper/collet sink into the retainer. Both can be very costly.

These retainers have a smaller profile/height (0,85mm shorter) to allow for more valve lift without contact with the oil seal and without requiring valve guide modifications.
 
Using lightweight titanium retainers allows for more aggressive camshaft profiles (lift and duration) without losing control of the valve and increased rpm limits - a must for any performance / race engine.
